Improper display of Thai target context in Fortis

Postby APICHAT » Mon Oct 26, 2009 9:33 pm

We see from English-Thai project that in certain target segments containing Thai translation the following occur:

1. The display becomes somewhat corrupt, meaning there are strange symbols appearing at the end of segment (that is not part of context, not present in source segment)
2. The cursor position is difficult to track, clicking on a position does not accurately bring the cursor to that position, so we are unsure where the new typing will be placed
3. Certain parts of the target text are not fully visible, i.e. blanked out in middle of phrases

Thank you for your feedback; Fortis Revolution has not been used or tested with the Thai language yet. The problems you are experiencing could be caused by a variety of issues, including incompatible IME programs and dos line endings (which will render as boxes at the end of segments).

I recommend sending us a detailed email at fortis.support@multiling.com describing what text is missing, if there is any pattern or predictability to the cursor's movement, whether or not you are using an IME and if so what IME you are using, and so on. With this information we will be able to take a closer look at how we can improve support for the Thai alphabet within Fortis.
